Getting started
- Open the Teams & players panel and set each team name, colour and number of players.
- Drag player markers to their starting positions. Use Add / remove ball to place the football.
- Turn on player names if you want names displayed under the markers.
The left editing menu can be hidden with the × button to give the pitch more room. Use Show menu to bring it back.
Moving and highlighting players
Select Move, then drag any player or the ball. To emphasise a player, choose Highlight player and click the marker. Click it again to remove the highlight.
If a frame is selected, highlight changes are linked to that frame and continue until changed at a later frame.
Drawing on the pitch
Choose Arrow, Line, Circle, Triangle or Freehand. Select a colour and line thickness, then drag on the pitch.
Choose Delete one and click a drawing to remove only that item. Clear drawings removes all drawings at the current point. Undo drawing change reverses the last drawing change.
Creating an animation
- Arrange the players, ball, highlights and drawings for the starting position.
- Click Capture frame.
- Move the players or ball to the next position and click Capture frame again.
- Repeat for as many stages as needed.
- Choose the seconds per move, then click Play.
Frame-linked drawings
Drawings and highlights belong to frames. For example, if an arrow is added at frame 6 and deleted at frame 8, it is visible during playback from frame 6 until frame 8.
Select the frame first, then add or remove drawings and highlights.
Saving a tactical setup
Enter a name in the Save & load section and click Save setup. The setup is stored in that browser on that device.
Important: browser saves do not automatically follow you to another computer, phone or browser. Use JSON backups for portable copies.
Exporting and importing JSON
Export JSON downloads a portable backup containing the current setup, players, team names, frames, drawings, highlights and animation information.
To restore it later, open the board, choose Import JSON, and select the saved .json file. This is also the best way to move a tactic between devices.
Exporting a video
- Create at least two animation frames.
- Choose the video format and picture size.
- Click Export video.
- Keep the browser tab visible while the animation is being recorded.
- When export finishes, use the download link to save the video.
Video export is silent. Browser support varies: current Chrome and Edge on Windows generally provide the most consistent results; Safari may offer different formats or saving behaviour.
Team names
Type a team name and use Save name if you want it available for future setups. Saved names can be reused for either team. Team names can be shown or hidden on the pitch and in exported video.
Good practice
Export important tactics to JSON regularly. If you clear browser data, change browser, or use a different device, local browser saves may not be available.
For best working space on phones and tablets, landscape orientation is recommended.
